 King Arthur (2004)
IMDB rating: 6.10
Plot: The Roman Empire is stretched across many nations, including Britain. In their conquest for more land, the Romans went into Sarmatia where they fought the very brave Sarmatian cavalery. The Romans, impressed by the Sarmatian’s weaponery and fighting skills, included them into their army as knights. After 15 years of serving and fighting for the Roman Empire the Sarmatian Knights, lead by Arthur/Artorious Castus, are about to receive their freedom as the Romans are leaving Britain. But the Knights must carry out one final order before they are free. A Roman priest and his family, especially his son Alecto, must be rescued from the invading Saxons. But there is another danger lurking on the road to freedom – the Woads, British rebels who hate the Romans.

Is the 2012 apocalypse real?
Mayans, Merlin (the wizard/oracle of King Arthur), ancient greeks, native americans, an internet program used to find stock predictions, and an ancient chinese fortune telling all predicted it, and they have been able to predict other things that came true before. The mayans who were crazy serious about the alignment of stars, the sun, the moon and planet say the sun earth and moon will align with the black mother of the milky way, and scientist, after many experiments, have figured out the there is a supermassive black hole, 30 billion times the size of the sun, in the milky way. Gravity from the sun and the supermassive black hole affecting the earth? mayans and other oracles believe the poles of the earth will switch, aka a movement of the earths crust.
Could it be the apocalypse? Some people look at the bible figuratively, where the world was not really made in 7 days, but actually a longer amount of time. In our time, the seas are rising, temperature getting hotter, crazy storms and earthquakes, fire in the sky (bombs). Many cultures have predicted the apocalypse, but who says it has to be done in one fell swoop, our planet will slowly reach the tipping point.
No.
Mayans- predicting an alignment of planets with the band of the Milky Way.
Merlin- crackpot
Greeks, Indians, computer and Chinese- coincidences or only associated with 2012
Black hole- there’s one at the center of every galaxy
Oracles- See Merlin above.
Pole switch- very improbable
Earth’s crust- That is always moving.
Seas, temperature, disasters- natural occurrences in Earth’s ever-changing climate
Bombs- There have been bombs for a while now.
Tipping point- Billions and billions of years from now.

I don’t think the world will end in 2012 because only God knows that. So I wouldn’t be afraid.
My life is in Jesus Christ so I am okay.

Let’s assume that the "tipping point" you suggest could occur. Do you realize, at the rate the earth is moving how many BILLIONS of years this would take?
The chances of what you are suggesting happening "in one fell swoop" (let alone at all) are literally zero.

You’ve been watching too much discovery channel… you forgot to mention Nostradamus, Mother Shipton and the Oracle at Delphi

Yes. So send me your stuff.
Added: the only supermassive black-hole is at the galaxy center. At the speed of light it would take 26000 years to get there.

I am 61 now. This is perhaps the 20th end of the world that I have been through.
I will tell you exactly what to expect. The morning after the end of the world, the sun will come up the birds will start chirping people will get out of their beds an get ready for work. Moms will hug their Kids and everything will pretty much be like it was the day before the end of the world.
Only one thing will be different. All of the people who were talking about it as though it was real will be saying that they knew that it was not really going to happen.
The day after that there will be a new date for the end of the world predicted, and those same people will be talking about how it is real.
Love and blessings Don

Considering that this year is at least 2014 in actuality, I’d have to say no! This is due to 4-5 years worth of egregious errors in our Gregorian calendar.
Muldah | Feb 02, 2010
I stopped reading at "Merlin".
Very simply, the world is ending Dec 31, 2010. That’s when my calendar ends, and the calendar makers have always been 100% right. They predicted every holiday, every weekend, etc.

Listen sweetheart, do NOT believe all the hype you hear. Have you ever done your research on natural disasters? Our earth undergoes temperature changes occasionally, it is a natural process. The last earthquake to hit Haiti that large, was 200 years ago, and the sea, is ALWAYS rising! It will never stop.
Those who spend time worrying about the so called "Apocalypse", have nothing better to do, and the majority of those individuals are religious, and believe 2012 to be more of an Armageddon. Please do not do this, do not waste your time. Enjoy life, because, yes, one day it shall END, that is, the day you are old, and close your eyes forever, NOT 2012.
No sweety, 2012 is simply a myth, and not to mention, 2012 is the end of the MAYAN calendar. Most races during the time died out because of several reasons. Just like ancient Egyptians, or the Aztecs.
Good luck to you,
